A Strange Visit Leaves a Neighbor Confused
A little boy stood outside an abandoned house, repeatedly knocking on the same window. No one understood why he had chosen that particular house, especially because it had been empty for eleven years.
A neighbor eventually noticed the boy and decided to ask him what he was doing there.
“Who are you looking for?” the neighbor asked.
The boy pointed toward the house.
“My mom.”
The neighbor froze.
“That house has been empty for eleven years,” the neighbor told him.
But the boy continued pointing toward the window. Then, in a quiet voice, he said something that made the situation even more disturbing.
“She told me to wait here.”
Police Search the Empty House
Concerned by what the boy had said, the neighbor called the police.
Officers arrived and searched the abandoned house. Inside, there was no furniture and no sign of anyone living there. The rooms were completely empty.
For a while, it appeared there was nothing inside that could explain why the boy had come there.
Then one of the officers noticed something beneath the floorboards.
It was a tiny child’s bracelet.
The boy immediately recognized it.
“That was hers,” he said.
The discovery raised even more questions about the house and the boy’s connection to it.
An Old Photograph Changes Everything
The officers lifted another floorboard.
Hidden behind it was an old photograph.
The boy stared at the picture for several moments. Everyone waited for him to explain what he saw.
Then he suddenly spoke.
“That isn’t my mom.”
The people around him looked at the photograph again.
The boy pointed to the woman standing beside the woman he had believed was his mother.
“That’s the woman who brought me here.”
The discovery left everyone with even more questions about who the woman was, why she had brought the boy to the abandoned house, and what had happened eleven years earlier.
